oh i just can't wait to be kiiiiing
so we were slightly late getting to the lion king musical thing at the orpheum theater..but i don't think we missed THAT much. we were at the part where simba, nala, and zazu are singing the "i just can't wait to be king" song. i was really amazed with all the backdrops and props they used. it was an amazing show and i don't even know how to describe it. the lighting was great..i loved timon and pumba. everything looked like it was done with puppets and elaborate costumes. i think i was most intrigued by how they were going to do the gorge scene where mufasa dies. it was actually done with people in costumes running in place while simba runs between them. good way of doing it i think. i was mesmerized throughout most of the show but for some reason some of the music lulled me to sleep. it wasn't like the show was boring at all. i guess some orchestras just have a knack of doing that. i was pretty amazed with the fact that there WAS an orchestra pit to begin with. wow. i'm just so happy that i got to experience something like this. i don't know too many friends who are into or ever go to any of these.
i keep seeing those signs for the "hairspray" musical. won 8 tonys..must be somewhat good. i don't think i'm going to be going to another musical for a long time though. good seats cost an arm and a leg. i was shocked to find out that they were 82 bucks a piece. although warped tour is something close to that. i've been watching season three simpsons all weekend long. something else that jared gave to me. =D twas awesome. we had a mixture of fun outside of the house and then some movie time. we sat in and made hot pockets. MmMm. or rather croissant pockets. don't know if there's much of a difference. it's already 3am. i don't know when the last time i stayed up till 3 was. it's not too often now that i have to drive out to freaking deanza so early in the damned morning. i really hope that i do okay in astronomy class. i think that i'm going to pull a B if i try extra extra hard. so i've been attending class and what not. as long as next time i show up for the damned review i should be okay. the problem with carpooling is that we don't have a permit for the both of us. so freaking..i have to get one of those 2 dollar permits whenever i get onto campus without him. or vice versa. it's kind of a hassle but i guess pretty worth it since i save so much money on gas.
although my car right now is in the xilinx parking lot. we dropped it off there today because there was so much traffic on 17. there was no way i could get to jared on time and get to the lion king musical if i waited in that mess. no way in hell. the traffic was from camden to probably the east los gatos exit. i somehow made my way over to the 85 junction and ended up over by xilinx. jared just ended up taking the truck because the door to his car isn't closing for some reason. after the show was over with..we wandered around union square for awhile. i've been there so many times though..that it kind of lost it's glimmer. i can't wait until we go to new york. he already said that the next time he goes..i'm completely invited. his aunt and the rest of his family in new york want to meet me. =D i thought that was pretty awesome. i think this summer will be busy. i'll be working..going to summerschool..hanging out with jared..going on the camping trip and the disneyland trip. helping jared get situated at santa clara..and just visiting old friends. sammy will be back. i'm still super excited to see him again. i remember how much used to hang out. ah high school. even though it wasn't that long ago..deanza has made it feel like eons have passed. maybe because in each quarter it feels like a year. different people..different classes...different grades...and teachers. craziness. anyways i should try to wash up and head to bed. i want to get up early tomorrow so that i can force jared to come. =D toodles.
