Half Triathlon or Bust

So I decided to bite the bullet and hire a personal trainer to get me through my next goal in life: Half Triathlon. This consists of:

Swim: 1.2 Miles
Bike: 56 Miles
Run: 13.1 Miles

I guess that's going to be most of my updates from here on out. Logging whether or not I've survived. Today was the first day of training. Not too bad.

45 mins of cardio
Core and arm work out

Currently, keeping track of what I'm eating. Their goal for me (and I say their goal bc mine is just to finish the half tri) is to have me down to 20% body fat aka drop roughly 15 lbs. I'm concerned about dropping that much weight, but we'll see how it goes. If I feel like I'm in any kind of danger zone, I'm prepared to speak up.

I'm excited to get back into shape and be active nonetheless. I think I've had a lot of fun traveling, moving, working but it's time to get back into physical activities. I always did enjoy running and working out. It helped me de-stress a lot. I do forget how much time it eats up though. I think today alone working out, cooling down, and finding food to replenish energy was roughly 3 hours.

If I plan to work out 6 times a week, this is going to be a huge time commitment. Well, here's to going big or going home.
